The recent training sessions for Irish athletes were held at the Kilkallen Community Centre and held with Ireland's leading contestants at the World Championships in Germany in August.

Team members are heart, lung, liver, bone marrow, kidney and pancreatic organ transplant recipients, and with their participation, they emphasize the success of organ donation, according to Kirklen businessman and kidney transplant veteran James Nolan.

“Transplant Sports Ireland would like to thank Alanbeer from Newbridge Athletic Club for having an incredible stretch and warm-up session with everyone,” James said. “Nicki Kelly from Kilkullen AFC and his volunteers supported the football team. It was great to see such a large crowd, especially those who traveled quite a bit to attend.”

James also expressed his gratitude to the visitors to Kilkullen Community Center Manager Enda O'Neill and his team to host the training day.
