Michelle Geraghty remembers spending nights hooked up to a life preserver, unable to look after her crying baby son Dylan.
His mother, 44, from Salthill, County Galway, had end-stage renal failure for two years after Dylan was born and had been undergoing peritoneal dialysis at home, eight hours a day, seven days a week.
