Croatian Man Killed In Brutal Attack Has His Organs Donated

A man who was attacked and killed on his way home has posthumously been found to have saved the lives of at least four people.

The family of Josip Strok, 31, a Croatian man who died in an attack in south Dublin last Wednesday, say he donated his organs and saved the lives of others.




Mr Strok, from Krapina in northern Croatia, was attacked on Saturday, March 30 as he and David Drujinec, 28, were walking from a bus to their home in Clondalkin. The friends were attacked by a gang and Mr Strok suffered serious head injuries.

However, his family said the other organs in his body were unaffected and his organs were donated after the decision was made to turn off his life support at Tallaght Hospital on April 3.

Police in Clondalkin are still investigating the attack and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Mr Druzinek then spoke about the attack, which happened in the Grange View Way area of ​​Clondalkin on Saturday, March 30, just after 10pm.

That evening the friends met up to celebrate Easter together, had a meal and bought a few bottles of beer at the liquor store before returning to David's flat in Clondalkin.
