An Australian Taylor Swift fan has admitted she was torn between attending the pop star's Sydney show and undergoing a vital kidney transplant.
Taylor, the “Shake It Off” producer, has been performing a string of sold-out shows at Sydney's Accor Stadium, but one super fan confessed that she almost cancelled her kidney transplant surgery to attend the concert. Tamara Gray, 35, was about to board a flight to Queensland on her way to a Taylor concert when she got a phone call just 10 minutes before her flight was due to board.
She told Australia's 9 News that she had registered for a kidney transplant but never expected to get a call while she was waiting at the airport saying she had a potential donor. She explained that her flight to Sydney was delayed and she was hanging out with friends in the departure lounge when she got a call from her doctor saying a kidney was waiting for her at the hospital. But she admitted she was so disappointed to miss the sold-out show that she briefly considered postponing her kidney transplant to go to Taylor's show.

“I have IgA nephropathy, an autoimmune disease that attacks the kidneys, so it was clearly doomed. If I had been on that plane, I would have essentially missed the call and I would have had a 30-minute response time otherwise they would have moved on to the next recipient,” Tamara told 9 News.
“I won't lie, for a second I considered saying no. [to the kidney]”But you know what, I'm not crazy,” the Queensland mum said, as her friends headed off to the concert without her while she went to hospital for a kidney transplant.
Taylor finishes a sold-out show in Sydney on Monday before flying to Singapore for six more shows, after which she'll take a short break until May, when she begins the European leg of her Eras World Tour. Taylor was joined by boyfriend Travis Kelce earlier this week. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end flew to Australia with best friend Ross Travis to support the Grammy-winning pop star.
The lovebirds enjoyed a sweet date at the Sydney Zoo, after which Travis was spotted in the VIP section at the Accor Arena. However, the NFL star is currently back in the US as he prepares to celebrate his team's Super Bowl win in Las Vegas. According to TMZ, the tight end is flying back to Sin City on a private jet for a pre-planned party with teammates, including Patrick Mahomes, to celebrate his team's third Super Bowl win in five years.
